He smiles down at her, bumping his nose against hers affectionately. Then he rolls onto his back, taking her with him and wrapping his arms around her, tucking her protectively under his chin.
This was really an unexpected, yet no less pleasurable, turn to his day. It beat getting shot at, that was for sure.
