He's sitting alone, reading a comic book.

For once, it's his day off, and he has no fears of being interrupted during his down-time. Every now and then, he'll scope out the people milling around the cafe, eyeing the pretty girls and giving them the once-over. He gets plenty in return, although none seem to want to do more than flirt from afar.

Ah well, you win some you lose some.

"Well, I have McKay to fix all the broken stuff, so I'm all good," he says with a smile. He even turns the cover so she can read it. It's a Fantastic Four comic.

(ETA: Sorry lover, but I headed to bed around 10:30ish. Workies is early and after the brain-numbing work of Thursday I'm just not keeping my eyes open. *HUGS TIGHT*)

"Huh?" she asks as his question brought her out of her daydream. "Oh!? It's just your book, sweetie," she says mentioning to the comic book. "Seems like sumthin' Jayne would read, if he read." She giggled at her own joke and she moved to settle back in the booth. She was quite comfortable and it showed.

[Aww. Sorry, honey. Class ran later than I thought. Professor was reviewing for our test next week and I had to stay of course. Hope to see you tomorrow! *hugs*

"Ah, I see. Yes, the Fantastic Four are a noble bunch, and as deserving of my attention as that hunk of a novel I'm attempting to read," he replies with the mock-air of culture. Because The Fantastic Four is definitely high art.

"But they take second place to your presence." Sage nod.

She giggled and patted his leg gently. "Well, I'm glad ya enjoy my company, honey," she says taking her hand back so she could turn in the booth to face him. "I know I missed ya."

He captures that retreating hand, turns to face her and leans in close. "I missed you, too." He doesn't give her a chance to think before he kisses her again, this one slightly lingering.

There was no time to think. No time to react from when he took back her hand to when his lips where once again against hers. It took her breath away. He seemed to know just how to do that. Just how to make her melt. Strange that she knew so little about him and yet she was...

no that's silly. Just because he was so much like the Captain and just as good-looking as Simon gave her NO excuse for falling in love with him. Nope, none at all. Just a kiss, Kaylee-girl. It was just a kiss.

"How much where ya missin' me?" she asked against his lips in a whisper.

"Almost distractingly so," he whispers back. His free hand runs through her hair. Distracted to the point of his amorous escapades being severely affected, much to McKay's eternal confusion.

His tongue flicks out to wet her lips before his own press another kiss to them.

She gave a gentle moan into the kiss as she leaned foreword to deepen it slightly before pulling back. "Only almost?" she asks as her hand comes so her fingertips could trace his right jawline gently.

The tiniest shrug, followed by, "Military training, sweetheart. Able to focus on the missions. Not so much the down-time."

He turns his head to nip at those fingers playfully.

She presses her lips together in smile as she nodded once in understanding. "Seems mind-blowin' sex ain't nuthin' compared t'military trainin'," she states in an air of amusement. Seems she'll have to work harder this time.
She pulls her hand away slowly from his nipping with a playful smile. Hell, he might not even remember her name, but oh was he ever cute.

"Oh, it can kick military training in the ass, rest assured. But, you know, hard to save the day without it." Slightly sheepish grin.

He leans in to nibble at her ear. "Of course, I won't say no to a rematch, if my Kaylee-girl demands one."

Ah. So, he did remember her name. That made her smile.

"Do I really have t'demand?" she asks in a whisper as her fingers slip under his shirt to run up the soft skin of his side. Her breath was becoming shorter as he nibbled at her ear. Oh, that did feel good.

"Not really. I was yours the second you sat down," he whispers before nuzzling her neck softly, sighing as her hands touched him.

He decides to do his own touching, fingers trailing down her back lightly.

Kaylee shivered gently at the feeling of his fingers against her skin. Her eyes closing to enjoy the sensations. He was so responsive to her and she found that a welcomed change. Hers. She found she liked that thought, him being hers. Her beings his. Perhaps she was reading too much into this again. Finding feelings that she had kept buried for so long for someone that could not or would not allow himself to feel the same way redirected towards a man that resembled him in appearance and reminded her so much of her Captain in personality, made her realize that if she continued this affair it just might turn into something beyond simple needs of two human bodies. John Sheppard might find that Kaylee Frye was in love with him and in that she wasn't sure she wanted to risk. She didn't want her heart broken one more time.

She pulled away after a few more moments of the petting and the snuggling and met his eyes with her own. She searched his face a moment to see where he was gonna go with this.

He pulls away as she does, bringing a hand up to cup her face, and his eyes play over her features. "Everything okay?" he asks, concerned.

She continues to look at his face a moment, searching for something. She didn't even know what.

She reached up so her fingertips would brush down the side of his cheek gently. "Not until ya bring me upstairs, Colonel," she whispers softly; her voice laced in want.

He gives her one more curious look, one more chance to address whatever it is she seemed to be dwelling on, before giving her a soft, loving smile.

"Yes, ma'am," he says with a grin and a tiny salute. Then he's moving them both out of the booth so he can piggy-back her up the stairs.
